My Path to Becoming a Psychotherapist

My path to becoming a psychotherapist has been long and filled with unexpected, yet rewarding experiences. I began writing at the age of eight, driven by a deep curiosity about the human mind and emotions. This passion led me to explore various roles—from working on a television show in Albania to writing a French-language screenplay that was performed for International Francophonie Day. Along the way, I studied Diagnostic Medical Imaging and Neuroscience, and was preparing for medical school when a transformative encounter with a patient during a night shift changed my trajectory.

As a psychotherapist, I draw on my diverse background in healthcare, education, and the arts to offer a holistic, integrative approach. I am dedicated to helping individuals overcome obstacles and achieve the life they desire by addressing their struggles from multiple perspectives.

When you work with me, you’ll enter a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where change and growth are seen as meaningful journeys. Our therapeutic relationship is the catalyst for transformation. Through our work together, you’ll discover and remain connected to your inner strength and potential.

My Approach

I am deeply attuned to my clients’ unique needs, always striving to provide a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space for healing and growth. Honesty, openness, and constructive challenge are the foundation of our therapeutic partnership. Clients often share that our work empowers them to embrace change and move forward confidently in their lives.

My Specialties and Modalities

I specialize in Trauma, Grief, PTSD, Postpartum, Anxiety, Depression, and Burnout. With a decade of experience as a sonographer and professor, I enjoy supporting students, healthcare professionals, educators, and artists. I help them navigate challenges such as burnout, compassion fatigue, writer’s block, and workplace conflict, among other issues. Additionally, I am experienced in assisting clients with chronic illnesses as they navigate the healthcare system. I recognize the profound connection between physical health and mental well-being, and I strive to address both in my practice.

Modalities:

My first and most important modality is Getting To Know YOU! My general approach is very person-centered and humanistic. Depending on the issue I integrate: Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychodynamic, relational and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) As a certified Life and Health Coach, I also see clients internationally to help them change habits and transform their life. This includes eating habits, stress management, dealing with conflict, career change, finances and deepen relationships.

*I offer services in English and Albanian.
