Celebrating 7 Years of Live Well Practice: A Look Back and a Look Ahead

How We Got Here

When this practice started, it was built around a straightforward belief: therapy should feel human. Not clinical, not scripted, not one size fits all. Every person who walks through our virtual door (or logs into their first session) is carrying something different, and they deserve care that reflects that.

Over the past seven years, we've had the privilege of supporting individuals and couples working through anxiety, trauma, depression, ADHD, and the everyday weight of relationships and life transitions. We've watched people move from feeling stuck to feeling grounded. From avoiding hard conversations to having them with confidence. From surviving to actually living.

That growth, session by session, is the reason this work still feels meaningful seven years in.

What We've Learned Along the Way

A few things have stayed true since day one, and a few things we've learned along the way:

Consistency matters more than intensity. Real change tends to come from small, steady steps rather than one big breakthrough moment.

Evidence-based doesn't mean impersonal. CBT, EMDR, and other proven approaches work best when they're paired with genuine connection and a therapist who actually listens.

Access matters. Offering virtual therapy across New York State has meant we can support people in Rochester, Albany, Westchester, NYC, and everywhere in between, without asking them to add a commute to an already full plate.

Asking for support is proactive, not reactive. Some of our clients come to us in crisis. Many more come to us simply wanting to feel a little more like themselves before things get harder. Both are valid reasons to start therapy.

Thank You

None of the last seven years would have been possible without our clients trusting us with their stories, our therapists showing up with care and skill session after session, and our community continuing to remind us why this work matters.

If you've been a client, a referral source, a colleague, or simply someone following along, thank you for being part of this practice's story so far.

What's Next

We're not slowing down. In the years ahead, we're continuing to grow our team of therapists, expand the specialties we offer, and keep building resources that meet people where they are, whether that's their first time in therapy or their tenth year of working on themselves.

If you've been thinking about starting therapy, or if it's simply been a while since you checked in with yourself, this milestone is as good a reason as any to reach out. We offer a free consultation to help you find the right fit, no pressure, just a conversation.

Schedule your free consultation today and let's keep this next chapter going, together.

Live Well Practice NY offers virtual therapy for individuals and couples throughout New York City and New York State, specializing in anxiety, trauma, depression, ADHD, and relationship support.
